The Walk will be the same pet event at Boyce Park you have grown to LOVE over the past 10 years, just with a new name and crew in charge! AND, maybe some new surprises!

Among the Wildflowers Sanctuary for keeping this event going to help Rescues and their animals! SO excited to go from a Friend to a Wildflower! We hope you will be part of this transition because Friends of Jupiter LOVE new Friends and LOVE to support animals in need!!!

Our Story:
The Friends of Jupiter Pet Walk was inspired by Jupiter, a 5 pound, then 3-year-old Maltese, who was saved from a horrible life at a puppy mill by Northcentral Maltese Rescue Inc. It became Jupiters and his new family's mission to help save even more animals in need! Due to the support from many local business sponsors, both human and furry participants and generous donations both locally and nationwide, Friends of Jupiter has raised over $62,000 over the last 10 years! Donations received went and will continue to go toward the care and veterinary expenses of the rescues at Northcentral Maltese Rescue and other local Rescues and Shelters.
A portion of our proceeds will go to LOCAL Pittsburgh RESCUES and SHELTERS that are our guests at the walk!

This family friendly event at Boyce Park includes a one-mile non-competitive walk. Activities will include a basket raffle, 50/50 and pet photos. There will also be a pet related vendor table area and the presence of Pittsburgh area Rescues and Shelters with adoptable pets. We will also be collecting items from Jupiters Wish List that will be donated to our Rescue guests in attendance.
There are several ways to join the fun!

Be a participant! You can walk with or without a dog! In person or virtually! Does your dog not do well at events, do you have a pet other than a dog, or have you had a special pet cross to Rainbow Bridge? We have options for you to walk in Honor of or in Memory of your special friend. Register online by clicking REGISTER!
